Tesla recalls the entire Cybertruck fleet, fortunately it’s a tiny one

All Tesla Cybertrucks sold until April 4, 2024 are subject to a recall due to a faulty accelerator pedal design.

In case you haven’t heard yet, the pad on the pedal may occasionally break loose and slide down the pedal. In some cases, it may lead to it getting stuck in the floor mat in “full throttle” position – not something you’d want to happen under any circumstances.

Rumor has it Tesla fumbled the glue bond between the pedal and the pad. When washed with soap, it may come loose and cause a dangerous incident.

While Tesla quality control issues are nothing new, what really interested us in this recall announcement was the number of vehicles affected: 3,878. Since the recall officially concerns every single Cybertruck produced since the end of the last year, that means the company still hasn’t broken four thousand shipments.
