Aito M9 gets a major software update

Chinese carmaker Aito (co-founded between Huawei and Seres) has just released a large-scale software upgrade for its flagship SUV, the M9. It weighs a cool 6.65 GB and comes with a plethora of new and improved features, ithome.com reports.

The V4.2.1.4 software introduces several new security measures, such as accidental throttle prevention and active collision avoidance systems. It expands the range of available voice commands, optimizes the performance of the infotainment and heads-up displays, and adds animation support to the smart headlights. The changelog fails to mention any powertrain improvements, though, so we assume there are none.

The Aito M9 is a 5.2-meter (17.06-foot) long SUV that entered its domestic market in late 2023 priced from 469,800 to 569,800 Yuan. It is available in two main flavors: range-extender hybrid and all-electric with a larger battery. The hybrid can cover up to 1,400 km (870 miles) with the gas tank and the battery maxed out, while the EV has approximately half as much range.
