Land Rover Defender sprouts a Camel Trophy special

The new Land Rover Trophy Edition is an unofficial homage to the Camel Trophy rally series that the company used to support and participate in. It won’t go on sale per se, but some of the off-road accessories will be available as an aftermarket upgrade package.

The body can be finished in two new colors – Sandglow Yellow or Keswick Green with glossy black accents. Both come with 20-inch black wheels shod in mud tires and have black interiors. Optional Trophy badges and decals round off the list.

Prices in the UK start from £89,810. An expedition rack with an access ladder, a couple of side-mounted boxes, a snorkel and mud flaps will add another £4,995.

If you want to see one of these cars in action, stay tuned for the Goodwood Festival of Speed in mid-July. Land Rover says the package won’t be limited in production, so there will be no rush.
