Canadian e-tricycle startup says the car can mine cryptocurrency

A while ago, we reported about an all-electric three-wheeler named Spiritus that Canada-based startup Daymak hopes to make real in a few years’ time. The company has now revealed that its car would be able to mine Nebula currency while parked or charging.

All trim levels starting from the most basic one will get this functionality. The company claims it will patent a wireless charging device called Ondata and its own Nebula infrastructure, which will include a Nebula Wallet and an app called Nebula Miner.

Pre-orders have been running since June 1, and customers are invited to pay for the car using cryptocurrency as well.

Although no more than a concept at this time, the Daymak Spiritus could become the world’s fastest-going tricycle. Its starting trim called Deluxe will have 300 kilometers (186 miles) of range and cost U.S. $19,995, according to the company. The $149,000 top spec dubbed Ultimate will be able to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in under two seconds and cover around 480 km (300 miles) on a charge.
