Aurus opens new showroom, gets Komendant SUV ready for launch in spring 2022

Russian luxury car manufacturer Aurus has opened a new dealership at the Likhachev Factory in Moscow, where customers can place a pre-order for their car.

Russian media are reporting that the company promises to start delivering orders made at this point in the spring of 2022, which is around when the production of the Komendant model should start. As for the sedan-shaped Senat, the company has reportedly sold out the entire first batch, despite the starting price of 24,000,000 rubles ($333,360 USD). The First Edition sports a different paint scheme and interior trim, but is otherwise identical to the main spec. The first deliveries should begin any day now, but the company does not reveal how many cars are in this first batch.

Aurus opened its first showroom in Moskva City a few years ago. Back then, it said the Senat sedan would cost 18,000,000 rubles ($250,000 USD).

The Aurus Komendant SUV coming in spring is set to become more popular than its four-door relative in Russia, company CEO Adil Shirinov said, adding that the development of the new automotive brand ‘proceeds as planned.’
