Timeless Classic or Bentley Banana? Mansory messes with a Continental GT

Soon after Bentley introduced the world to an elegant and driver-oriented Continental GT Supersports, German tuner Mansory unwrapped its own take on the Continental – one that trades all restraint for an audacious mix of yellow, black and carbon fiber.

The once-understated British grand tourer received pretty much the same forged-carbon treatment as all of the tuner’s other recent projects. Additions at the front included a lower spoiler, a bold hood cover, air intake shrouds and a branded radiator grille. The result definitely looks more aggressive, but also overwrought and uncalled for on a car like the GT.

Much of the same can be said about the rear end with its pronounced diffuser and not one, but two tailgate spoilers. Carbon trims on the sides help achieve at least some kind of stylistic unity, so there’s that.

A slightly different shade of yellow dominates the interior, only slightly diluted by accents of black and white. Contrast stitching isn’t used this time around, but the perforated leather trim on the seats sports a rather fashionable diamond pattern. Numerous tuner’s badges round off the styling job.

All prices are private, as usual. Mansory is a highly controversial name in the tuning world, with the company’s social media followers always praising the projects and car enthusiasts from Europe and the United States bashing them for going too far. In fact, our colleagues at carscoops.com straight away called this Continental GT “a banana on wheels,” adding that such styling decisions are only justifiable by someone who “has probably stopped checking invoices long ago”.

Would you agree?
