An exotic Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse roadster will be auctioned off in the UK in mid-June for an expected price of £2,500,000 ($3,200,000). It is a fairly rare spec with low mileage and plenty of bespoke trim options, so the estimation seems justified.
The Veyron roadster (see video) went on sale in 2012. This specific example was put together in 2014 for a customer in Japan, but never went overseas for unclear reasons. Instead, it was ultimately resold to another customer, who resided in the UK. It has since put on 4,085 km (2,538 miles).
The Japanese client who ordered this Veyron GT Vitesse specified it with a blue and black carbon-fiber body and an orange leather interior. The car was number 46 in the production batch of 92.
All Vitesse roadsters came equipped with an eight-liter engine rated at 1,200 PS (1,184 hp / 883 kW) and 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft) of torque. They can go 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.6 seconds, but have their top speed capped at 375 km/h (233 mph) for safety reasons.
