Cadillac has shared the first official photo of the Blackwing CT4-V and CT5-V models ahead of their premiere.
On the outside, both performance sedans sport new bumpers and wheels. Inside, the steering wheel has a red 12 o’clock mark now, there is a Performance Traction Management switch and a V-Mode button. The trim scheme involves generous amounts of leather and carbon fiber, and the CT4-V additionally gets lightweight carbon seats.
Both Blackwings are expected to keep their original engines, the 3.6-liter V6 TT in the case of the CT4-V and the 6.2-liter V8 for the CT5-V. The transmission is officially six-speed manual.
The automaker calls the duo the most track-ready vehicles on the lineup. Once they hit the showroom floors, they will mainly have to compete against the BMW M3 and M5, respectively. The production run will be limited, and rumor has it that only 250 units of each model will be produced. Drivers will be invited to enlist on free courses at the Cadillac V-Performance Academy.
