Hennessey Performance has unveiled its own rendition of the range-topping Cadillac Escalade-V, landing the SUV with more than a thousand horsepower.
In its stock form, the 6.2-liter V8 produces 692 PS (682 hp / 509 kW) and 885 Nm (653 lb-ft) of torque. Back when it debuted, it was the world’s most powerful body-on-frame SUV around.
Hennessey added custom intake and exhaust components, improved cylinder heads, valves and shafts, and tuned the ECU accordingly. In the end, the bulky off-roader began to output 1,019 PS (1,005 hp / 750 kW) and 1,196 Nm (882 lb-ft) of torque. To put things into perspective, the Bugatti Veyron maxed out at 1,001 PS (987 hp / 736 kW) at the time the Escalade-V went on sale.
The tuning company claims the dynamic performance has also improved drastically, but refrains from giving any specific numbers. Even in its stock form, the SUV is no slouch with a 4.5-second standard sprint time.
Every vehicle tuned receives appropriate suspension adjustments and comes with a 3-year warranty, Hennessey says.
