Exomod, a U.S.-based specialist in “backdating” muscle cars, has unveiled what looks like its most ambitious project to date. It may look like a vintage Dodge Charger, but runs on a modern Challenger chassis and packs 1,014 PS (1,000 hp / 746 kW).
To achieve supercar-like levels of power and torque, the company called upon Hennessey Performance for help. The Texan tuner never bothered to do any sprint time measurements, but the Prometheus should have plenty of thrust to spare considering its featherweight carbon-fiber body. Exomod boasts that the new panels do not disrupt the operation of the Challenger’s ADAS features in any way.
The interior ended up with an overhaul in light brown leather with gold stitching, but was otherwise allowed to stay stock. Six-piston Brembo brake calipers and 20-inch Forgeline wheels rounded off the build.
