Yuanhang H9 goes on sale in China

Yuanhang Auto, a premium EV manufacturer and part of Dayun Group China, has started selling a full-size SUV called the H9 on the domestic market. It comes in three trim levels priced from 409,800 to 519,800 Yuan (U.S. $57,600–73,000).

The H9 was announced in 2022. Its model designation suggests a flagship status, but in reality the H9 has the same size, design and equipment as its predecessor, the H8. It is 5,220 mm long, 2,015 mm wide, 1,760 mm tall and has 3,125 mm of wheelbase.

Regardless of your choice of trim, you get two electric motors driving both axles. Their output can amount to either 680 PS (671 hp / 500 kW) and 745 Nm (550 lb-ft) or 707 PS (697 hp / 520 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft). The top spec launches the SUV 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.8 seconds and takes it to 210 km/h (130 mph) on highways. There are seven drive modes to switch between.

For the battery, you can choose from three options manufacturer-rated at 98, 120 and 150 kilowatt-hours. They correspond to 650, 840 and 950 kilometers of range per the CLTC standard.

The interior of the SUV features six seats arranged in three rows and comes trimmed with orange and black leather. Options include a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, a 17.38-inch multimedia display running on AliOS and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chipset, individual displays for those in the second row, 256-color ambient lighting, and a 27-speaker audio system. The car has enough smart assists to qualify for SAE Level 2 semi-autonomous driving. Many features can be controlled using voice commands or remotely via a mobile app.
