The Korean premium vehicle manufacturer has facelifted the entire GV80 lineup and added a coupe-SUV body style to it, complete with a slanted roof, a pair of spoilers and new brake lights.
On the outside, both new GV80 variants have a new front bumper and a radiator grille with smoother outlines (although the shape stayed the same). New body finish options have been added to the list, including some matte ones, alongside new wheels sized 20 and 22 inches in diameter.
The interior looks the same regardless of the body style with only minor exceptions. The standard SUV gets a refreshed dashboard design dominated by a single 27-inch OLED display, a redesigned transmission selector knob and a touch-based HVAC control pad. The coupe-like GV80 gets a squared-off steering wheel, seats with improved lumbar support and other sports-friendly features.
Both versions come equipped with a 2.5-liter turbo engine rated at 304 PS (300 hp / 224 kW) and 422 Nm (311 lb-ft) of torque in the base spec. Paying extra gets you a 3.5-liter engine with 380 PS (375 hp / 279 kW) and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft) at the output end.
The Coupe version enjoys an exclusive 3.5-liter engine option that benefits from a boost to 415 PS (409 hp / 305 kW) and 549 Nm (405 lb-ft) of torque. It also gets sportier powertrain settings by default, launch control, and a special infotainment mode that can be used to display additional real-time info on engine performance. This specification also allows drivers to fine-tune exhaust sound and brake pedal response.
