Up until recently, renowned German tuner Carlsson only dealt with Mercedes cars, but its Essen Motor Show booth had a Hyundai i30 N on display this year.
The reason is simple: since recently, Carlsson has a subdivision called Peninsula, which specializes in South Korean automotive brands. This i30 N is their first project.
The fastback boasts a multi-piece front spoiler, side skirt extensions, a multi-piece diffuser and an aggressively styled rear spoiler. All parts are painted red, but the company says customers may choose any color whatsoever.
The show vehicle also rides on ultra-light magnesium forged rims measuring 19 inches in diameter and takes advantage of a KW V3 coilover kit.
A performance upgrade from the stock 250 hp (86 kW) to 330 hp (246 kW) wraps up the list of changes.
Not too shabby for a first try, wouldn’t you say?
