The Kia Ray microvan based on a modified Picanto chassis has been out and about in South Korea for more than a decade now, receiving its first update in 2017. Everyone expected a full-fledged new generation, but Kia just announced a new facelift.
The 2023MY Ray has been substantially redesigned with an all-new front fascia, vertical headlights with U-shaped LED DRLs, and a revised radiator grille. It also boasts new bumpers at both ends, a different aero kit and more up-to-date wheels.
Things have not changed as much in the cabin, but the dashboard has become digital and the infotainment system has gained an 8-inch touchscreen. Some tweaks were made to the dash panel in general.
Options now include a sleeping mattress that you can unfold after reclining the front seats completely to the back (even the driver’s seat can be reclined to be level with the floor). Buyers can also consider getting a remote engine start function and a number of modern electronic assists.
Power for the new Ray still comes from a three-cylinder engine rated at 76 PS (75 hp / 56 kW).
