The 2025 Lexus NX has debuted on its domestic market along with a special trim version called Overtrail, advertised as a superior choice for poor roads. Aside from it, all NX models now benefit from a stiffer body design and tweaked suspension. The sales have already started.
Compared to the standard SUV, the Overtrail rides on 18-inch wheels shod in all-terrain tires. It gets 15 mm (0.6 inches) of extra ground clearance and benefits from adaptive suspension tweaks reducing interior vibration when driving over rough terrain. The stabilizers all around have been recalibrated, too.
On the outside, the special NX wears an exclusive Moon Desert paint coat with black accents. For the powertrain, customers in Japan can choose between the standard NX 350, NX 350h and NX 450h models. There are no power or torque upgrades.
Other than that, the refreshed Lexus NX lineup benefits from added power braces at the rear end and improved noise proofing all around. The ride is said to be even more comfortable now thanks to chassis improvements. In the base trim, you now get a 14-inch center display and more USB ports. The F Sport version now ships with adaptive LED headlights by default.
