Mahindra Bolero & Bolero Neo get updated for 2026

Mahindra India has slightly refreshed its Bolero SUV along with its Neo variant. The G-Class-inspired off-roaders ended up with new grilles, alloy wheels and infotainment systems while retaining their old powertrains.

Starting with the regular Bolero, it now sports a radiator grille with five rectangular sections and thin vertical slats. A new black exterior finish is available for ordering, but you’ll have to pay for the top trim level to get stylish 15-inch, diamond-cut wheels.

The interior is still full of cheap plastic trim, but the multimedia system benefits from a larger 7-inch widescreen display and smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth (no wired connections supported). A couple of USB-C ports are provided for charging, there are media playback controls on the steering wheel, and the seats now come wrapped in eco-leather instead of vinyl.

Powering the body-on-frame off-roader is a 1.5-liter diesel engine mated to a manual transmission and rear-wheel drive system. It churns out the same 75 PS (74 hp / 55 kW) as before. Mahindra points out comfort-oriented suspension tweaks, so there’s that. The base trim only features two airbags despite having three seat rows.

Similar updates apply to the Bolero Neo. It now sports a grille with a horizontal ornament, 16-inch dark grey wheels and new exterior color options – Jeans Blue and Concrete Grey. The infotainment system in this version supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and has a bigger 9-inch screen.

The engine block, transmission and drive system are all the same, but various improvements allow the powertrain to pump out 99 PS (98 hp / 73 kW). The automaker mentions suspension and steering optimizations along with better brakes.

Both SUVs are 3,995 mm (156 inches) long and therefore eligible for tax benefits. The Bolero ranges from 8 to 9.7 Rs Lakh, and the Neo starts 0.5 Rs Lakh above it.
