The CX-60 may be an urban SUV first and foremost, but AutoExe decided to try and turn it into an off-roader of sorts. Aside from the visual tweaks, the Japanese tuner rebuilt the suspension and even tinkered with the engine.
The tuning kit by the name Active XRoss is already available for purchase. Exterior additions include bolt-on fender flares, skid plates all around, extra LED lighting in the front bumper, and visors on the side windows. 18-inch Rays alloys shod in Toyo Open Country tires underpin the build, and the ground clearance benefits from a 25mm (1-inch) increase.
To keep things stable on rough terrain, the CX-60 features a dedicated beam for motion control, which comes with new suspension towers, arms and crossbars. As for the 2.5-liter SkyActiv mill under the hood, it continues to combust gasoline for its usual 327 PS (323 hp / 241 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. An added carbon-fiber intake along with a sports exhaust system are supposed to make it breathe easier, but AutoExe doesn’t state any revised performance numbers.
