Leapmotor revs up for EU debut

Stellantis has officially announced bringing the Leapmotor nameplate from China to Europe.

The Leapmotor International joint enterprise was founded in May this year. It is currently running a production line at a Stellantis factory in Poland, which churns out Leapmotor T03 models. You can already preorder this subcompact EV.

The T03 is a hatchback measuring only 3.6 meters (140 inches) long. It uses a single electric motor to send 95 PS (94 hp / 70 kW) to the wheels and comes with a 36-kWh battery pack. Its €18,900 starting price makes it one of the most affordable electric vehicles in Europe.

Later this month, the company plans to launch sales of the Leapmotor C10 SUV starting from €36,400.
