Ultra-rare Nissan GT-R Nismo 400R V-Spec set to cross $1M upwards

Back in the mid-1990s, the Nismo subdivision of Nissan announced a particularly rare and extreme version of the already-capable Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R33). Known as the 400R, it was slated for production in a batch of 100 units, but only 44 saw the daylight – and even fewer have survived to our day. One particularly fine example will soon cross the auction block in the United States, priced to leave most Godzilla fans homeless.

The white coupe upgrades upon its V-Spec base with a dual-plate clutch, an improved intercooler, a sports exhaust system and an engine boosted to deliver 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW). It also rides on Rays three-piece forged wheels and benefits from Bilstein shocks installed alongside Nismo springs.

Both the exterior and the cabin are in excellent condition. The car was largely used in Japan and only recently imported into the States. Per the listing, it currently has 16,316 kilometers (10,136 miles) on the odometer. The seller points out regular maintenance and care at authorized service centers, so it should be a treat to own and drive.

However, its sheer collector’s value might invalidate the latter point. Broad Arrow Auctions estimates this one between $900,000 and $1,100,000.
