There were flash floods in the Uk earlier this month that left certain areas of Leicestershire temporarily disconnected from each other. The owner of a three-decade-old Peugeot 405 decided not to take any sass from the weather, though, and waded through the deluge with a proudly raised snorkel.
Judging by the signage in the video, the water reached 3 feet (93 cm) in certain places – and possibly higher in others. Nonetheless, the car’s 1.9-liter diesel engine managed the trial just fine. Granted, the seals around the door frames let some grey water through – you can see a bit of it sloshing inside the car in the end – but the powertrain stayed intact.
And hey, who of us hadn’t considered doing something like this at least once, right? Check out @Bengregers on YouTube for more info.
