Gunther Werks has invested more than a year and reportedly around a million USD into building the extreme carbon-bodied Porsche 993 that suffered in a track incident the other day.
While driven by Porsche brand ambassador Patrick Long at the Laguna Seca Raceway, the car suddenly went off-track and flipped on its roof, sustaining major damage. The driver, who was examined at the spot, avoided major injury, but the same cannot be said about the car. It wound up with “considerable damage” to its suspension and roof, and potentially other components, too. It is unclear now whether it can be fully repaired.
