The Cayenne is the single best-selling Porsche around with 95,604 sold units last year alone. A facelift (see the gallery below) is destined to arrive in April, and rumors are circulating that an all-electric variant is also in the works – although it may take a while.
According to Autocar, the ICE Cayenne and its battery counterpart will have little in common aside from the name. The EV will allegedly run on PPE underpinnings and debut in 2026.
If true, this means that the luxury SUV will come to us after the all-electric Macan, which is also based on the PPE platform. Thanks to the innovative architecture, both will be able to top up their batteries quickly and cover at least 483 km (300 miles) on a single charge thanks to having plenty of room for power cells.
