Rimac Automobili has announced setting another international record officially set by its Nevera hypercar: reaching 275.74 km/h (171.3 miles per hour) in reverse.
The unusual race took place at the Automotive Testing Papenburg grounds in Germany, where the same hypercar set a whopping 23 Guinness records a while ago.
The vehicle was a Time Attack Edition example from a limited series announced in the summer of 2023. Every Nevera TAE wears a unique livery, and the total production quantity is capped at just 12 units.
According to the Guinness Book of Records, the previous record for the fastest driving in reverse has been held by the Caterham 7 Fireblade since 2001. The British sports car managed 165 km/h (102.5 miles per hour) in that mode.
