Cars & Bids found a buyer for a mid-engined, turbocharged, RWD Falcon F7 earlier this week. The low-mileage Targa from a production run of just seven units changed hands for U.S. $181,000.
Michigan-based Falcon Motorsports revealed the production-ready F7 model 13 years ago (see video). The first four vehicles made featured a monocoque cabin made out of aluminum, carbon fiber and Kevlar. They also shipped with a 7.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine tuned to between 620 and 680 American horsepower (462–507 kW) on a per-car basis.
However, the final three examples, including this F7 which was number five in the total production batch of seven, were delivered with an LS7 V8 sourced from General Motors and upgraded with dual turbos. This particular example commands 1,100 hp (820 kW), sending the torque to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission from Graziano. It is said to accelerate from zero to 96.6 km/h (60 mph) in 2.7 seconds.
Other noteworthy features of the now-extinct racing exotic include Penske suspension, 20-inch Forgeline wheels, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes and Targa roof. The interior is lined with leather and carbon fiber and packs some unexpected creature comforts, like an air conditioner and a Kenwood head unit.
The listing mentioned a minor case of peeling paint on the hood cover that the owner concealed under a vinyl wrap, as well as a moderately worn driver’s seat trim. Other than that, the car looks virtually new. It has roughly 2,600 km (1,615 miles) on the odometer, out of which only 480 km (300 miles) or so were added by its seller, who said he bought it from a relative in May 2024.
