Geely KX11 gets a new name, reveals cabin

Little by little, Geely continues to unveil its large SUV internally known as the KX11.

As it turns out, the final production name will be “Xingyue L”. The carmaker already has a Xingyue on the lineup, a coupe-like SUV known outside of China as the Geely Tugella. The newcomer may also receive an exports-oriented name.

The new Xingyue L is the largest vehicle so far with Volvo CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) underpinnings. Specifically, it is 4.770 mm long, 1,895 mm wide and 1,689 tall with 2,845 mm between the axles. Wheels come sized between 18 and 20 inches.

The cockpit features an infotainment display merged with the front passenger’s display. The steering wheel bears a CMA logo lest you forget what car you are driving. All-around view cameras, leather upholstery and a sunroof are all expected under options.

On its domestic market, the KX11 will ship with a 2.0-liter turbo-four rated at either 218 or 238 PS (215 – 235 hp; 160 – 175 kW). The specifics are lacking, so we’d assume the power is dependent on your chosen trim level or drive configuration.

The launch should take place this spring.
