Toyota has brought two camouflaged supercars to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year, and live broadcasters have managed to peek inside the one believed to be the next Lexus flagship.
According to Carscoops, these images show a street-legal supercar and its interior. As you can see, the trim mostly uses leather, aluminum and artificial suede. The overall impression is that of refinement more than asceticism.
The seats are carbon-backed, and there is a row of physical buttons under the multimedia display in the middle. The center console is often tilted towards the driver in cars like this, but this seems not to be the case here.
We still know very little about the two new models. Even their names stay secret, with speculations including “Toyota GT” and “Lexus LFR”. Powertrain-wise, both could ship with a twin-turbo V8 and an electric motor for a combined output of 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW) or close.
Besides, not even the camo can conceal the fact that both vehicles are inspired by the 2022 Toyota GR GT3 Concept. The main difference is that one looks obviously track-focused with its aggressive aero, adjustable front splitter and large rear wing.
We should hear more from Toyota and/or Lexus towards the end of the year, when both are expected to debut.
