Lotus shows its 2,000HP hyper-EV in live action

Following the initial presentation this summer, Lotus has released a video showing its new all-electric hypercar Evija speeding down a runway (and almost-but-not-quite taking off).

The footage was shown to the guests of the Auto Guangzhou expo. Interestingly, the car is depicted still wearing the test camo, even after the official reveal. Either Lotus is working on an unannounced special version, or the footage was filmed well ahead of the premiere. A possibility also exists that the final production version of the car will be different from the one shown earlier.

Lotus continues testing the Evija on several racing circuits throughout Europe. Driven by four electric motors, the car zaps 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in under three seconds. The production quantity will be limited to 130 units.
