Affordable Skoda Epiq EV revealed with details

The wallet-friendly Skoda Epiq crossover is slated to go on sale sometime in the first half of 2026, but the company has already published all the main specifications.

The newcomer rides on the MEB+ platform originally designed by Volkswagen. It is rear-wheel-drive by design and offers three motor options: 116, 135 and 211 PS. That’s 114, 133 and 208 American hp, or 85, 99, and 155 kilowatts, respectively. Regardless of your choice, the top speed will stay capped at 160 km/h (99 mph).

The cheapest Epiq will make do with a 38.5-kWh battery pack. A 55-kWh pack will be available for a premium, and it’s the only one that has a WLTP range at the moment: 430 kilometers, or 267 miles.

Drivers can look forward to surround-view cameras, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, lane control and other handy assists. The infotainment display spans 13 inches corner-to-corner, and while the trunk size is only decent at 475 liters (16.77 cubic feet), it expands to whopping 1,344 liters (47.46 cu.ft.) with the seats folded down.

All prices remain to be announced, but Skoda hints that the Epiq EV will be priced rather close to its gas-powered Kamiq.
