Tesla opens a cool dining area for Supercharger users

It took Tesla Inc. seven years to design and build the Supercharger Diner in Los Angeles, but the retro-futuristic ambience was worth it according to the first visitors.

The menu consists of typical American food offerings, like burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads, set meals, desserts and beverages. While ordering, you may be tempted by one of Tesla’s brand accessories.

The diner is accompanied by a Supercharger station capable of refilling 80 cars at once. The company points out that it’s the largest in-city Supercharger site nationwide, and adds that all NACS-standard electric cars are supported – not just Teslas. Two giant screens above the area can keep you entertained while waiting, and Tesla promises to keep you updated with the movie schedule. You’ll need to download and install an app called Tesla Diner to find out what the next screenings are.

As you’d expect of a themed public space, the Supercharger Diner is packed full of nods and references to Tesla EVs, other products and Elon Musk’s side projects, such as the Optimus android lineup.
