U.S.-made Toyota Land Cruiser Prado freshens up for 2027

The next model year of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado has officially debuted in the United States with some noteworthy interior modifications, but hardly any exterior or powertrain upgrades.

Customers may now opt for a new exterior shade called Inked and throw in a snorkel for wading deep water. The base trim, called the 1958, now features a 7-inch digital dash display and an 8-inch multimedia touchscreen, as well as a six-speaker audio system and HVAC.

The standard trim replaces cheap fabric with Toyota’s SofTex material, bumps up both display sizes to 12.3 inches, introduces a superior 10-speaker audio setup and adds a power tailgate. The front seats are heated and ventilated by default, but paying extra for a spec called Premium extends these features to the second row as well.

Like before, all power is supplied by a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-pot assisted by a mild-hybrid motor built into the SUV’s eight-speed automatic transmission. The combined output comes to 331 PS (326 hp / 243 kW) and 630 Nm (465 lb-ft) of torque.

The 2027 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado starts from $57,880 in the States, while the top trim begins from $62,725.
