Toyota has a division called Industries which is mainly dedicated to all sorts of industrial machinery (see video), but is also responsible for assembling the RAV4 in Japan. This division will be attending the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon with not one, but three custom variants of the compact crossover.
One of the more interesting builds is based on a previous-generation (XA50) example of the RAV4. It wears aftermarket parts and accessories on its left-hand side and stays completely stock on the right-hand side. There are custom wheels, off-road tires, blacked-out front and rear ends, drag-reducing window trims, and stylish decals for the front end.
Another, current-gen example in red can be seen wearing numerous OEM accessories. The low resolution of the photos precludes us from making a full list, but Toyota promises to announce it at the show, so just stay tuned if you’re interested.
The third and last example wears a camo green livery and goes by the name Outdoor Style Concept. It has some extra ground clearance, Toyo Open Country R/T tires, traditional stamped steelies for wheels and an expedition rack on the roof.
The 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon opens its doors in two weeks on Friday, January 9th.
