The Volkswagen Caddy counts among the most popular commercial minivans produced by the German car marque. The current generation, which has been around since 2015, could use an update – and, judging by these spy shots, the company realizes it, too.
It seems that the next-gen Caddy looks quite a bit different from its predecessor, complete with a restyled radiator grille, air intakes on the front bumper, and new lighting all around.
Viewed from the side, the car front seems more protruding. The rest of the body maintains its blocky shape. There are sliding doors on each side of the van.
The 2021 Volkswagen Caddy makes a switch to the MQB architecture, which means it may also get released with a hybrid powertrain. Of course, you will still be able to grab it with a traditional gas or diesel engine if you wish.
The update should celebrate its premiere in 2021. It will ship in two main versions: standard and LWB.
VW plans to introduce its all-new T7 van straight after the Caddy.
