Volkswagen has already previewed a few SEMA show concepts, but left the Jetta GLI Performance for a surprise reveal. The model is inspired by the motorsports industry and comes loaded with enhancements both visual and practical.
Based on the Jetta GLI Autobahn spec, the concept car has fender flares, massive side skirts and larger air intakes. It is finished in matte black and wrapped in a custom vinyl wrap. Rounding off the list of exterior modifications is a set of 20-inch Rotiform monoblocks with custom hubcaps.
Power comes from the standard 2.0-liter engine making use of a carbon-fiber air intake system, a new intercooler, an oil radiator and other aftermarket goodies. As a result, the output at the crank rises to 355 PS (350 hp/ 261 kW) and 504 Nm (372 lb-ft) of torque.
