Chinese EV maker Zeekr has rolled out a new version of its 009 minivan. It packs 925 PS (912 hp / 680 kW) and can attain a top speed of 220 km/h (136 mph). Ordering should become available in a few weeks, although there’s still no official launch date.
The MPV comes equipped with a front-axle motor rated at 422 PS (416 hp / 310 kW) and a rear-axle one rated at 503 PS (496 hp / 370 kW). As a result, the single-spacer feels much faster than its curb weight of 2.9 metric tons (~6,400 pounds) would suggest, Zeekr claims. It also tops up its battery really fast thanks to 900V power internals and a latest-gen Geely/CATL battery pack.
Apparently, the exterior of the model stays exactly the same. Same goes for the cabin, which is still obtainable with six seats arranged in three rows of two or seven seats if you opt for a rear bench. No trim changes have been announced yet, either.
The Zeekr 009 initially debuted in 2023 with 544 PS (536 hp / 400 kW) heading for the wheels. A new high-end spec was added a year later, offering 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW) from two motors. If you found that version too weak, you now have an alternative that fits the definition of “supervan” even better.
