Italian coachbuilder Totem Automobili has come to the 2024 GIMS expo with the first out of five Alfa Romeo GTAmodificata sports cars planned for production. Each one gets an engine boosted to 810 metric hp and a cool €1,100,000 price tag in Europe.
The name of the restomod unfolds into “Gran Turismo Alleggerita Modificata”, which means “Grand Tourer, Lightweight, Modified”. That sums it up, really. The whole body has been redone in naked carbon fiber with a painted front fascia and a white accent on the doors. The striking retro look is further supported by two-piece forged wheels with a pale bronze finish, as well as round headlights and taillamps. There are LEDs inside, of course.
Power for the build is sourced from a 3.2-liter twin-turbo V6 designed by Italtecnica Engineering. Despite its compact size and weight, the mill revs up to a lively 8,500 RPM and slams the rear wheels with 810 PS (798 hp / 596 kW), as well as 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque. The driver gets to enjoy such modern comforts as electric power steering, configurable ABS, and three drive presets. A titanium exhaust system is included for a particularly juicy soundtrack at no weight penalty.
The interior of the car remains to be fully revealed, but Totem Automobili promises us carbon-backed bucket seats wrapped in leather and Sabelt safety harnesses.
