Alfa Romeo GT restomod offers sleek looks and 550 PS for €400k

Emilia Auto said it wanted to restore a small number of Alfa Romeo GT Coupes for well-to-do customers in late 2021, and the design of the restomod has now been officially finalized.

The source car originates from the distant 1960s and 70s, and moves to a new frame extended by 40 mm (1.6 inches) to accommodate a couple of intercoolers at the front end. It gets redesigned front air intakes and wheels to maximize air flow to the powertrain and the brakes, but otherwise retains its classic proportions.

The stock engine under the hood goes away to make room for a modern Giulia Quadrifoglio twin-turbo V6 rated at 548 PS (540 hp / 403 kW). Customers may choose what they want to see in the cabin, with such options on the menu as an 8.8-inch infotainment display, an AC and even a reversing camera. Of course, you may as well opt for a period-correct look and forego those options.

Pricing begins from €400,000 (around $430,000 USD) for the base conversion. The company is already working on multiple orders, but says there are still a few production slots available for late 2023.
