Aston Martin unveils a track-focused Pro version of its AMB 001 superbike

The Aston Martin AMB 100 Pro is an improved, more powerful and lighter alternative to the AMB 001 bike revealed three years ago. With a power-to-weight ratio of 1.28 hp/kg, it is comparable to Formula 1 racecars, which also explains the $149,000 sticker.

The track-only superbike continues to be powered by a 997cc V2 engine, but improved cylinder configuration and cooling have raised its output by 45 horsepower to 225 PS (222 hp / 165 kW).

The body uses a mix between titanium alloy and compounds and weighs 175 kg (385 pounds) – marginally less than the standard version. It also comes equipped with an aerodynamic kit that should generate extra downforce.

The exterior design is largely inspired by the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro with an unusual mix of green, lemon and black finishes. The production will be handled by Brough Superior, UK-based partner of Aston Martin. Pre-orders are already being processed, but the first shipments will not be made until Q4 2023. Only 88 units will be made in total.

The standard AMB 001 model was produced in 100 units. Aston Martin reported selling 90 of them in March this year.
