Audi has brushed up its four-ring badge to look flatter and more up to date.
The geometry and the key elements remain the same, while a flatter look serves to highlight the marque’s commitment to understated, clean luxury.
The German automaker started using the logo six years ago, but only in digital media where a 3D badge would have looked weird. Now, the same design expands to all production cars.
The chrome is gone, so what we have now is as simple as white rings surrounded by thin black rims. A darkened version of the logo with grey used instead of white will be available for anyone interested. The company claims that the contrast between the inner rings and their black outlines will still be noticeable, but only barely.
