The second AUDI for China is a full-size luxury SUV

The new AUDI E7X promises high-end equipment, sporty electric performance and up to 751 kilometers (466 miles) of range per charge. Having debuted at the Auto China expo last weekend, it should go on sale in that country soon enough.

Despite its considerable size – 5,049 mm long, 1,997 mm wide and 1,710 mm tall with 3,060 mm between the axles – the E7X has only two seat rows. You can choose between two individual seats and a bench for the rear row, but that’s it. Trim-wise, the model comes equipped with a giant 59-inch dash display, a 21.4-inch TV for the passengers in the back, a Bose audio system and an ADAS package provided by local IT startup firm Momenta.

In its most affordable form, the SUV comes equipped with a single e-motor at the rear axle producing 408 PS (402 hp / 300 kW). Opting for dual motors gets you 680 PS (671 hp / 500 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. Regardless of your choice, the battery volume is fixed at 109 kilowatt-hours. The pack charges rapidly thanks to 900V power internals and takes the E7X from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under four seconds. Rear-wheel steering is included as standard.

Note that AUDI is Audi’s China-only vehicle sub-brand. It is written in all-caps and doesn’t use the parent brand’s four-ring logo. As of this writing, AUDI hasn’t announced any plans to offer its vehicles outside of China.
