Audi expands its lineup of paid OTA-unlocked features

Audi plans to continue developing new software options that owners will be able to pay for remotely and have them immediately downloaded onto their cars over-the-air, Autocar reports quoting Audi CTO Oliver Hoffmann.

Right now, only the owners of the all-electric e-tron and e-tron Sportback models (in the gallery and video here) can purchase over-the-air upgrades for their cars. These include new Matrix LED animations, self-parking and other such features. It is worth noting that the purchases are permanent and should not be confused with subscriptions.

The new features are planned for release in 2024. The exact list remains to be announced. The only thing we know right now is that Audi plans to make these OTA options available to a wide range of latest-gen cars, and not just EVs.
