Ken Block’s Mustang Hoonicorn loses a drag race to an Audi

The Gymkhana founder went up against the world’s fastest Audi RS 3 and suddenly discovered he wasn’t able to keep up with it.

For those few who didn’t follow the Hoonicorn vs. the World series, here’s a reminder. The heavily modded Ford Mustang comes powered by a 6.7-liter V8 TT boosted to deliver 1,400 hp (1,044 kW) to all four wheels through a sequential transmission.

In turn, the Audi RS 3 hits its four wheels with 1,100 hp (820 kW) coming from a turbocharged five-cylinder and a seven-speed DSG transmission. The sleeper car also boasts plenty of carbon bodywork that makes it weigh about as little as the Mustang.

The very first drag strip run made Ken Block doubt the potential of his ‘Stang, and the second one landed him with an unexpected defeat. Watch the video to see how it went.
