Brabus applies its tuning magic to a Bentley Continental GT duo

The Mercedes-Benz specialists over at Brabus occasionally tune other brands just for variety’s sake, but their take on the Continental GT coupe and convertible is quite the looker all the same. If you can look past the missing Bentley badges, you will notice an all-carbon aero kit and 900 metric horsepower under the hood.

Both cars sport revised front and rear ends. There’s a new front splitter, contrasting air intake shrouds and a Brabus emblem where the Bentley logo usually resides. Things take a sportier turn towards the rear end with a ducktail spoiler and a diffuser housing quad tailpipes. The tuner claims the exhaust system is new as well, offering higher throughput and an adjustable soundtrack.

As for the stock 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 under the hood, it gets a pair of turbos, a superior intake manifold and a tuned ECU that lets it output 900 PS (888 hp / 662 kW) and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque. That’s 119 PS (117 hp / 88 kW) and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) of torque more than stock.

This newfound power enables both the coupe and the convertible to zip 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.9 seconds instead of their standard 3.2 and 3.4 seconds. The GT can even attain 335 km/h (208 mph) moving in a straight line, while the GTC is capped at a safe 285 km/h (177 mph). A 20mm (0.8”) lowering in suspension height helps keep things in control.

In a welcome exception to the rule, all prices have been made public. A ready-made Continental GT like this will set you back €489,200 in Germany, while its GTC counterpart starts from €538,800. To put things into perspective, you can find a new Continental GT Speed for under €300,000.
