G-Power dials the heat on the BMW M5 CS to 900 PS

With 635 metric hp at its disposal and a production run of just 1,000 units, the M5 CS is truly the crown jewel of the BMW 5-Series lineup. Still, those whose motto is “no such thing as too much power” may now ask G-Power for another 265 horses.

The shop says its latest upgrade kit targets specifically the elusive CS spec because of how lightweight and durable it is. A number of engine bay components get swapped for high-end forged counterparts and the software gets tuned, resulting in the wheels receiving up to 900 PS (888 hp / 664 kW) and 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft) of torque. The tuned car has no trouble getting to 333 km/h (207 mph).

Aside from the engine overhaul, the project includes the installation of a Deeptone exhaust system, 21-inch light alloy wheels with dual five spokes, and a carbon-fiber body kit comprising a rear wing, a hood cover and four exhaust tips. The front splitter and the rear diffuser are standard CS parts.

The so-called G5M CS Hurricane RR conversion costs €119,000, nearly as much as the car itself does. Customers interested in a less extreme tune-up can browse through G-Power’s catalog for the standard M5 and pick an option.
