Bowlus unveils an entry-level Heritage Edition trailer home

Bowlus is a company known for making luxury campervans with vintage exteriors that will easily relieve you of U.S. $300,000 or more if you would like options. The newly introduced Heritage Edition spec breaks the mold by offering a nearly twice as affordable alternative.

Specifically, the trailer starts from just $159,000, making it the cheapest on the Bowlus lineup. It comes finished in Satin Silver, a wallet-friendlier replacement of the company’s favorite polished aluminum bodywork (watch the video to get a taste of that one). For those who would rather go for a more discreet look, matte black and satin grey coats are also available.

The whole trailer weighs as little as 1,315 kg (2,899 pounds) in the base spec, which Bowlus claims makes it the world’s lightest full-size camper. The battery pack on board stores only 2 kilowatt-hours of juice by default, but ticking Power Package I in the configurator adds another 2 kWh, a 2,000W invertor, a solar panel array and autonomous air conditioning (up to 4 hours of continuous operation). Going for the Power Package II gets you upgraded, more efficient versions of the equipment listed above.
