Someone asks €6M+ for a Bugatti Mistral that’s not even out yet

One of the car dealerships near Munich, Germany, is offering a Bugatti Mistral hypercar for €6,650,000. The roadster only debuted in late August and will not be out until 2024, but all production slots have been sold out.

This makes the whole thing look like an attempt to flip a production slot – in other words, a position in the waiting queue. On the upside, the buyer will likely be able to customize their ride before production, something that’s impossible with regular supercar flippers.

Having said that, the official starting price is $5,000,000 USD. This means the flipper stands to earn a million and a half in first-world currency on this trick alone.

The Bugatti Mistral is the world’s first Chiron-based roadster and the company’s last W16-powered ride. The eight-liter engine churns out 1,600 PS (1,578 hp / 1,177 kW). Aside from the removed roof, the Mistral has other design cues distinguishing it from the other Bugattis.

All acceleration times remain unannounced, but the speedometer will happily display 420 km/h (261 mph) on a runway long enough. The Mistral is actually shaping up to become the world’s fastest open car with the Hennessey Venom GT Spyder coming second at ‘just’ 413 km/h (256 mph). Then again, in the two years that remain until the actual production, Hennessey is in a good position to release its Venom F5 Roadster, which is designed to reach around 483 km/h (300 mph).
