Check out the CN-Cobra RS6, a 900-PS imitation of the AC Cobra

The legendary Shelby Cobra gave rise to a host of replicas, some authorized by the original maker and others not as much. This example by CN-Tuning from Germany belongs in the latter category, but we find it hard to criticize: it looks like a dream.

The car is built to the classic and proven formula of no electronic aids or snazzy modern gimmicks. As such, it takes a physically strong and highly experienced driver to tame on the track. That said, it still does have an ESP with ABS and traction control under all that metal – mostly in order to be street-legal.

Aside from an all-original body, the sports car has 18-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, adjustable coilovers in the suspension, and six-piston front brake calipers. A peek inside reveals multi-point safety harnesses, an OMP squared-off steering wheel and a mix between analog and digital gauges.

The engine is particularly impressive. It is a 6.0-liter, aluminum-block LS7 V8 assisted by a high-end supercharger. The mill sends up to 900 PS (888 hp / 662 kW) and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox. The sprint times remain to be revealed, though.
