Chery has launched the 2024 eQ1 sales in China. AutoHome reports that the battery-powered city car is now called ‘New Edition’ and is limited to just one powertrain (the pre-facelift options are gone). Prices start at 77,900 Yuan and hit 82,900 Yuan at the top trim level.
Compared to the old Chery eQ1 (see video), the New Edition sports a freshened-up body kit with redesigned bumpers and front fascia. The brand name is spelled out at the rear end in Latin letters. The color palette has been expanded with new shades of purple and green.
The interior is rather laconic and offers a new 10.1-inch central display for a centralized access to most features.
As we said above, there is only one powertrain option left on sale. It makes 76 PS (75 hp / 56 kW) and 150 Nm (110 lb-ft) of torque. A 40.3-kWh battery pack lets the small urban car cover 408 km (253 miles) on a charge.
