Chery has launched its Arrizo 5 GT sedan in China. According to AutoHome, the GT is a high-performance alternative to the existing Arrizo 5 Plus model and comes priced at 99,900 Yuan.
A 1.6-liter turbocharged engine makes 197 PS (194 hp / 145 kW) and 290 Nm (214 lb-ft) of torque working with a seven-speed DCT. It sprints from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in six seconds and maxes out upon reaching 220 km/h (136 mph).
Customers in China get to choose from three available trim levels, the topmost one priced from 108,900 Yuan. Depending on the trim, the car may or may have smart LED headlights, 17-inch wheels, an HVAC with an ionizer, a dual display with the combined diagonal size of 20.5 inches, an infotainment system and all-around cameras.
In addition to a powerful engine and rich trim options, the Chery Arrizo 5 GT stands out from the crowd thanks to a more aggressive exterior and reinforced brakes with orange calipers. The interior also makes use of color accents and houses a squared-off steering wheel.
