Chery has updated its Tiggo 8 Plus SUV, also known as the Tiggo 8 Pro in some countries, for the model to be more in line with the premium Tiggo 8 Pro Max.
Exterior changes boil down to new bumpers and radiator grille. The only readily noticeable difference between the 8 Plus and the 8 Pro Max now is the exhaust tip configuration: the high-end car has four tips. The headlights look the same, but make use of a feature called AFS (low beams now swivel automatically to illuminate turns at higher accelerations).
The interiors are now completely identical between the two, with the same illuminated drive mode selector and dash panel layout with two merged 12.3-inch screens.
Powering the soft-roader is a Kunpeng 1.6-liter TFSI engine sending 197 PS (194 hp / 145 kW) to the front wheels. All-wheel drive is not an option.
Other noteworthy highlights of the update include a couple of extra Sony audio speakers, enhanced air filtering, and more up-to-date multimedia capabilities. The seat count stays at a fixed five.
Prices start from 125,000 Yuan and go up to 160,000 Yuan in the top trim spec.
