Callaway Cars has attended a recent special event in Carlisle, UK with a prototype supercharger upgrade for the Chevrolet C8 Corvette. The deliveries are planned for next year, but you can already secure a pre-order against an advance payment of $1,000.
The LT2 V8 on board is getting the tuner’s signature TripleCooled supercharger kit. Specifics aren’t there yet, because the kit is still going through its engineering and testing phase. What we do know is that it will eventually reach authorized Chevrolet dealerships and come with a 3-year / 58,000-km (36,000-mile) warranty that you would be able to extend if needed.
Callaway Cars turns 35 this year, an event it chose to celebrate by producing a limited series of C8 Corvettes clad in carbon-fiber aero parts and rocking a new exhaust system among other tech upgrades. This limited edition was announced in March this year and is unrelated to the supercharger option revealed this weekend.
